Dr. Mini Salunkhe was fifth in merit while graduating with MBBS from Government Medical College, Nagpur, Maharashtra in 1981. She completed her post-graduation in MD Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1990 at the first attempt. She acquired experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology from 1991 till 2000 at various hospitals in Nagpur; in between, she was a Junior Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynecology with the Ministry of Health in Sultanate of Oman between 1994 & 97. She trained in Gynecology screening at the Cama Albless Hospital, Mumbai; where she was awarded Winifred Fernandes Fellowship in May 2001. She was a consultant in Gynecology with MN Budhrani Cancer center between 2002 -7. She has been associated with major hospitals in Pune since 2007 and has been managing routine as well as high-risk obstetrics. She has actively participated in updating protocols for the same. She has overseen antenatal classes, preventive health checks in the corporate sector, and conducted awareness programs about Women’s Health issues at firms in Magarpatta & Kharadi. Her areas of interest are “High-risk Obstetrics”, colposcopy and colposcopically directed procedures for cervical cancers and lesions. She is currently a full-time consultant in Obstetrics & Gynecology at MOM STORY Mother & Child Hospital Sahyadri Hospital Annexe Hadapsar Pune, where she is available in the morning.
